Word fromthe road.
Landed at 11pm, shuttle came in four minutes, and the Model 3 was sitting at 90% charge with my name on the dash card.
Booked the Wrangler for Joshua Tree and got that exact Wrangler. Sounds basic — it is not, anywhere else.
The price on the website was the price on the receipt. To the cent. No insurance speech at the counter.
We picked up in Santa Monica and dropped at LAX on the way out. $45 one-way fee, clearly listed. Easy.
Needed a car for a month while mine was in the shop. The monthly rate beat the insurance-company rental and the car was nicer.
Cancelled two days out because of a flight change. Refund-free, since nothing was charged in the first place.
PCH in the Boxster with the roof down. The staff even pointed out which lot at Malibu actually has space.
Child seat was already installed and the right way round. Parents will understand why that's a five-star detail.

What do I need to pick up a car?
A full driving licence held for at least one year, a credit card in the driver's name for the deposit, and your booking reference. Drivers must be 21 or older; visitors can use a licence from their home country together with a passport.
How much is the deposit, and when do I get it back?
It depends on the car — $200 for economy up to $750 for the Boxster, and it's shown on every booking. It's a hold, not a charge, and we release it as soon as the car is checked in. Your bank usually drops it within 3–5 working days.
Do I pay online?
No. Booking is free and nothing is charged online. You pay the total shown at pick-up, by card. That's also why cancelling is simple.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Use the manage link in your confirmation to cancel for free until 24 hours before pick-up. For date or car changes, call us and we'll re-quote against live availability.
What about fuel and charging?
Petrol cars go out full and should come back full, or add the prepaid full tank ($65) and return it at any level. EVs leave at 80% or more; return above 20% and there's no charge.
Can I take the car out of California?
Yes — Nevada and Arizona are fine. Mileage stays unlimited inside California; outside the state it's 250 free miles a day, then $0.25 per mile. Mexico is not permitted.
Do you rent long-term or to companies?
Yes. From 28 days the monthly rate applies automatically (25% off daily). For company accounts with monthly invoicing, send us a note through the form below.
